An email from a longtime friend

Both exerted a very significant influence on the students they lectured and supervised.

Driving in Paris was no small feat, especially as the car's steering wheel was on the opposite side of French cars. Helen used to take the car for short drives around the area they were staying, in preparation for driving it all over Europe and the UK. She succeeded with great aplomb.
